Holy Cow, time is sure flying out here in lovely Decatur! New month, and I haven't written in a long time.
It's the end of another transfer, and a lot of really great eventful things have happened. We had a Sisters Training in Birmingham, all of the Sisters got to go and hear from our beloved Mission President and his amazing wife. It was awesome! They asked me to sing and my companion, Sister Baird accompany me, 'I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go'. That was a special performance for me, I have to admit. I felt the Spirit so strong and I can bare testimony of the power of music. It is glorious!
We also got to go to the temple again! What a spiritual experience that was for me as well. That's been a lot of this transfer. I have to admit, adjusting to a new area has been a little difficult, but every time I start to get down on myself, or think I can't do it I have recieved tender mercies. I have grown closer to my Heavenly Father and gained a better understanding of the Saviors Atonement, and their love for me. I have been selfish. I know I haven't been trying hard enough to give out that love in return, and my desires haven't been fully on the work. But, even though I fail every single day my Heavenly Father is so patient with me.
We recieved Transfer calls on the 4th, I'm staying and sadly my dear Sister Baird is leaving. I've learned so much from her and will look back on our one transfer together fondly.
With this new transfer I'm going to take it in full stride! I'm going to give it my best, work hard, be obedient, and have fun with the new sister I get on Wednesday!
I love ya'll and hope you had a great Independance Day!
Love, Sister Mason
